"The wizard of oz" is a book rich in knowledge and truth, which makes me learn a lot.Every chapter of the story deserves to be savored.
The story of the girl rosie, aunt em, and uncle Henry live on a ranch in Kansas.By a whirlwind to a strange place.Under the guidance of the good witch of oz, she set out on her way home and eventually overcame all the difficulties to get home.
On her way home she met many of her friends, even though she encountered many difficulties and dangers.A scarecrow with no brain.& other;A tin man with no heart.& other;A lion without courage.Help her get through this.Let me really understand the importance and value of friendship.Sometimes I wonder: if rosie gets to that strange place without the help of these friends, she will never come home to her aunt and uncle. It is possible to fall into the street and become a slave, which makes me feel the importance of friends again. And my classmates sometimes laugh at each other and start fighting when they have something small.I think we should help each other, build friendship, love each other, unite together, do not quarrel over a little thing, and destroy the friendship between friends.
of course, not just because of the power of friendship to create the perfect ending, but also because of their good wishes for their own unremitting efforts, whether it is by how many setbacks, how many difficulties, but they still insist on.I admire their noble qualities.
On that thrilling journey, they could not go on because of a great ditch across the road.At this moment, it seems to us that their journey is about to stop. Then the scarecrow came forward. The cowardly lion also stood up and jumped out of the ditch, and when everyone reached the other side, the lion was tired and out of breath.
This book appeals to me not only the wonderful story but also the inspiration it brings to me.The most prominent point is: to do everything must have perseverance, persistence, only has success, only has the rainstorm after the rainbow.
Im far from the main characters.Once, my mother helped me with a brush shift, and at the beginning I studied with enthusiasm, but after a few days, I found it very boring.I started off in class; He didnt finish the homework assigned by the teacher. After reading this book, I finally understand that I need to persevere, to conquer myself, not to be afraid of difficulties, and finally to see the rainbow after the wind and rain.
My favorite is the story of the last chapter, although only a few words, but it can be the end of the story that rosie has been so hard to get home.It contained a spirit of perseverance and courage to overcome difficulties.
英文名著读后感 篇2
After reading Robinson Crusoe, a tall image suddenly appeared in my heart. He is the brave explorer Robinson Crusoe. With tenacious perseverance and never giving up, he realized his dream of sailing.
Daniel Defoe, English writer. The founder of realistic novels in the British Enlightenment period, known as the "father of novels" in Britain and Europe. His works are highly readable. Robinson Crusoe, written by him, had a great influence at that time and is now a masterpiece appreciated by both refined and popular tastes. The main framework is as follows: the protagonist overcomes difficulties through personal efforts, wisdom and courage, and shows the social atmosphere of pursuing adventure and advocating personal struggle at that time.
It mainly talks about: Robinson, he insisted on sailing for his ideal, regardless of his parents' opposition. He went to sea several times, made some money and learned to plant. Later, he drifted to this deserted island. He saved Friday and built his own "home" with only some resources. On his own, he lived on the island for 28 years... Finally, after Friday's investigation, after various difficulties, he returned to his hometown where he had been away for a long time.
Robinson lived on a deserted island for nearly 28 years. Isn't it worth learning that he is calm when things happen?
英文名著读后感 篇3
This is a fairytale whose distribution volume is only second to The Bible. It’s been translated to versions of many other languages. And I gather there must be something special, something really great about it. It’s this conviction that drove me to read it at the first beginning. Well, with due respect to the author, I failed to see how this fairytale be worthy of our attention, despite the fact that many readers claimed this book to be designed for adults.
Anyway, as a well-acknowledged book, it must possess unique feature to maintain it’s position. And it’s reputation and popularity will by no means be destroyed by what an unknown man says. I will talk about the main contents of the book, and the inspiration it renders as usual.
This book mainly tells us the experience of a prince from a tiny planet, who traveled to many other planets and finally came to the earth and met the pilot in a desert. The prince and the pilot became good friends, and the pilot gradually got to know the feeling and experience of his friend. Before he came to the earth, little prince had been to other 6 little planets where he made acquaintance with some strange people.
The first man he met was a king on a little planet, yet he claimed to be the king of the space and ridiculously justified his unshakable governance over all. The second person was a man of vanity, who enjoyed compliments of any form without considering whether it’s sincere or not. The third person was an alcoholic who tried to forget the fact that he’s addicted to acohol by drinking like a fish. The fourth person was an abosolute money-oriented businessman, who cared nothing but his fortune. Next came the lamp-lighter who performed his duty blindly. The last one was a geographer who knew too much about geography to solve a real problem related to it. These six people each represented one kind of person like us. The author satirized people’s conceit, emptiness, fakeness, innocence and blindness through the tone of a child.
I see eye to eye with the author in that the cause of people’s loneliness can be concluded to the negligence of the bonds that connects them. People are supposed to care about each other, cherish what’s really important for them, and be grateful for the happiness that they’ve gained. We all believe knowledge and experience enable us to see clearly and make right judgements all the time. But we may sometimes lose the right to speak straighforwardly, think creatively or love courageously resulting from what we’ve experienced. That why in our middle school textbooks, it’s the little kid that breaks the illusion of the emperor by saying ”but mum, he ain’t were anything”.
When I was a child, I was definitely a good boy who went home on time after school and did his homework and never tried anything without mom’s permission. And now I am a grown-up, and still I am a good man, at least, that’s what I heard.
Sometimes when I was lonely and I began to think about my childhood, then all the happiness and care-free life came back to me as it were yesterday. Kids that once accompanied me during my childhood now become fathers and mothers of their kids and I myself am a child no more.
Thinking about all these things have made me moody. There’re changes happening in our lives whether we are happy about it or not. People told me life is a journey which will never stop once it’s started. What’s left behind are happiness and sorrow, pride and shame, success and regret. There’s good old time to reminisce and there’s sad hours that reminds us of the pain. Your feeling makes them real, and you know you lived.
I want to conclude by saying some positive words that each yestersday used to be today, and each today is the future of yesterday, so making the most of today is the best way to cherish your lives. Our mortal beings are doomed to die. It’s not sad, instead, death it’s just a process of our lives. After all, we’ve lived our lives and it’s what we do and how we think that determine who we are.
英文名著读后感 篇4
After watching Robinson Crusoe, I think Robinson is a very brave and intelligent man. Trapped on an isolated island, he had no clothes, no shelter, no companions, and had to worry about whether he would be eaten by wild animals. However, he still survived and saved a savage "Friday" to be his slave. He lived on the island for 28 years and finally returned to his hometown.
英文名著读后感 篇5
Journey to the West is an ancient myth. I like Journey to the West very much. I watched the cartoon Journey to the West again during the winter vacation.
In Journey to the West, Tang Monk, Sun Wukong, Zhu Bajie and Monk Sha are all familiar with it. Among them, my favorite is the Monkey King! Because he is always clever, helpful, and able to distinguish between good and bad people, to guard Tang Monk and his brothers. He is just like our current people's police, who has a burning eye, catches the bad and saves the good, and always protects us. Maybe because Tang Monk didn't use his head when he was in trouble and blindly accepted others' help, sometimes he would not listen to the good advice of Monkey King and fall into the hands of monsters. This is enough to show that we should use our brains when we are in trouble. If we don't use our brains and listen to other people's bad opinions, it will be worse. I also like Zhu Bajie very much. He is a simple but lovely person. He will not come up with some good methods, but he has a sense of justice. He will do whatever he wants to do. He will protect his master's safety regardless of his own safety. He seems a little stupid, but people think he is stupid and cute. We should learn from his courage to fear the enemy. However, some things should be carefully considered before doing them, and we should distinguish what can be done and what can not be done, and we should do it according to our own strength.
In a word, each of the four masters and disciples has their own strengths and weaknesses. It is just the saying that "when three people walk together, there must be my teacher." We should learn from their strengths, and even their weaknesses must be checked to see if they also have them. If they do, we should work hard to correct them and become a whole.
英文名著读后感 篇6
This is a story about a special and unreserved woman who has been exposed to a hostile environment but continuously and fearlessly struggling for her ideal life. The story can be interpreted as a symbol of the independent spirit.
It seems to me that many readers' English reading experience starts with Jane Eyer. I am of no exception. As we refer to the movie “Jane Eyer”, it is not surprising to find some differences because of its being filmized and retold in a new way, but the spirit of the novel remains----to be an independent person, both physically and mentally.
Jane Eyer was a born resister, whose parents went off when she was very young, and her aunt, the only relative she had, treated her as badly as a ragtag. Since Jane's education in Lowwood Orphanage began, she didn't get what she had been expecting——simply being regarded as a mon person, just the same as any other girl around. The suffers from being humiliated and devastated teach Jane to be persevering and prize dignity over anything else.As a reward of revolting the ruthless oppression, Jane got a chance to be a tutor in Thornfield Garden. There she made the acquaintance of lovely Adele and that garden's owner, Rochester, a man with warm heart despite a cold face outside. Jane expected to change the life from then on, but fate had decided otherwise: After Jane and Rochester fell in love with each other and got down to get marry, she unfortunately came to know in fact Rochester had got a legal wife, who seemed to be the shadow following Rochester and led to his moodiness all the time ----Rochester
英文名著读后感 篇7
The Ordinary World "is a significant long work in Lu Yaowen's collection. A panoramic depiction of modern urban and rural life in China through complex contradictions and entanglements, with Sun Shaoping and others as representatives depicting the image of ordinary people from all walks of life. The self-esteem, confidence, and self-improvement of life, the struggle and struggle of life, setbacks and pursuits, pain and joy, are intricately intertwined, making it heart wrenching to read.
I really like Lu Yao's starting point for this novel - the word 'ordinary'. His world is ordinary, just one of thousands of villages on the Loess Plateau, but Lu Yao sees the extraordinary of his protagonist in the ordinary. In his world, the great advantage of a person is to realize that they are ordinary. What Lu Yao tells us is not only about that distant era, but also about a belief and pursuit that one should have in life.
A person's life, like this book, is not about the ending but about the excitement of the process. Life should be like the protagonist Sun Shaoping, who never bows down to life, constantly exploring and pursuing a path of destiny that impresses everyone.
We all live in this ordinary world, and today's society is a noisy, restless, and tempting era. Each of us carries dreams and pursues our own happy life, and happiness often lies in our own thoughts. People should live optimistically and examine the world around us with a broader perspective when living in their own world, so as not to confine themselves in a narrow range, and life will be more fulfilling. Only in this way can we have a more unique understanding of life and be open to our own personality. Perhaps we may encounter many trivial and unfair things in our ordinary work, but as long as we learn to adapt, learn to change, learn to choose and give up, and learn to treat ourselves well, we will experience happiness from it. As the saying goes, as the sun rises and sets, there are also worries and joys every day. Why not face each day with joy and happiness!
I hope my understanding and insights on 'The Ordinary World' can help everyone face their future life with a happy mood. Even if there are hardships, we must support our weak arms to welcome them. Even if we fall or fail, we will not regret it. After all, this is life. After all, we all live in this ordinary world and are looking forward to a better tomorrow.
英文名著读后感 篇8
Everyone in the world, whether he or she is rich or poor, will encounter a lot of difficulties, even hardships. Different people may have different ways to deal with them. After reading The Little Princess, Im deeply impressed by Sara’s way to deal with difficulties. The Little Princess was written by Frances Hodgson Burnett, a famous novelist and dramatist. Sara, the heroine of the novel, was born in a rich family. In order to get a better education, her father took her from India to London so that she could go to the best school. Because Sara was kind-hearted, generous and most of all—rich, she was loved by everyone. All went well until her father died in an accident.
Everything changed completely. She didn’t understand why the teachers and classmates treated her so badly. Even the principal who used to be fond of her, made her work 16 hours a day. Sara’s miserable life began...
When I finished reading the book, I was shocked by what the unimaginable pain Sara had suffered after her father’s death. She used to be a happy, worriless, and rich Princess, but now she was a lonely and poor servant. She had to work very hard without any rest but only had little food. Besides she had to endure the unfriendly and even rude ways that her classmates treated her. All teachers and students in the school looked down upon her. The most important fact is that Sara had lost the love and care of her parents.
What a mighty pain! If you were Sara, could you stand such pain? Needless to say, an 11 years old girl, even if it were an adult, he might not put up with it. But to my surprise, Sara faced it bravely. Despite of the torture of the principal and all those pressures above, she still was optimistic towards life.
By reading this novel, I felt inspired and think much. When we meet such difficulties, what should we do? Some people always complain that the fate is unfair to them. Some people can’t sustain the hardships and choose to give up. Few of them even try to commit suicide because they lack the courage to overcome it. Compared with Sara—an eleven years old girl who can treat the pressure of life with optimistic spirit, these people’s performances are sounded so lamentable. Why can’t they make it?
However, what impress me most are her characteristics and the thought of her “being a real princess.” This “real princess” does not mean luxury palaces, beautiful clothes and the apple of the others’ eyes, but being kind, generous and having good manners. It is unnecessary for “a real princess” to be strong in body, but she must be strong in will. Sara is a real princess in my heart all the time, whether she was rich and wore beautiful clothes in the classroom or she was cold and hungry in the attic, just because she had the good characters and kind heart.
The story went on. Fortunately, a friend of Sara’s father found her and told her that her father left a great sum of money to her. I pray and believe that every good person in the world deserve a good result. So does Sara.
英文名著读后感 篇9
I like reading Robinson Crusoe, not because I yearn for a thrilling life. I'm a girl. I can't imagine if I would lose the hope of living if I were in such a situation. What moved me in this book was the hope that perched in Robinson's soul. In a desperate situation,
His first thought was how to live. He is unfortunate, and he is lucky, because he hugs hope tightly. As he said: in the most unfortunate situation, we can also compare the advantages and disadvantages, so as to find something to comfort ourselves. By contrast, he realized that although he was in famine
The island, isolated from humans, survived death alone. In the tropics, there are no wild animals around and there is still food. It is fortunate in misfortune. He thus summoned up the courage of life and began to arrange his life wholeheartedly.
Sister swallow said, "when you are surrounded by darkness, your heart is your own light." Yes, when Robinson is surrounded by darkness, isn't his hopeful heart just a lamp that never goes out? I hope those who have read Robinson Crusoe can learn from his more than 20 years of loneliness
In the difficult life, see the bird with golden wings - hope and have it!
英文名著读后感 篇10
Recently, I read the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, one of the four masterpieces. The content of the book is about the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty, when the world was falling apart, wars broke out, and Cao Cao, Liu Bei, and Sun Quan gradually rose. The three kingdoms of Wei, Shu and Wu formed a trend of confrontation, and the three kingdoms competed with each other, creating many unique characters: Zhuge Liang, a resourceful man who knows astronomy above and geography below, loyalty and loyalty, Guan Yu, a brave man who is good at fighting, Zhang Fei, a rough and meticulous man, Zhou Yu, a talented and narrow-minded man, Sun Quan, an ambitious, talented and capable man, Cao Cao, a man of great literary ability and military strategy, and a treacherous man
Among them, I most admire Zhuge Liang, who knows astronomy, geography and resourcefulness. Why do I admire him most? Because he is very resourceful, let's take the story of "Grass Boat Borrows an Arrow" as an example.
In that story, Zhou Yu deliberately made trouble for Zhuge Liang and ordered him to build 100000 arrows in ten days. Confronted with the impossible task, Kongming confidently replied that it would not take ten days to complete it in three days, and made a military order. Lu Su was very worried. Kongming was not worried at all. He asked Lu Su to take twenty boats to him., There should be thirty people on each boat, and a thousand drafters should be arranged on both sides of the boat.
Two days later, at the fourth watch on the third day, Zhuge Liang suddenly sent someone to invite Zhou Yu and said that he would go to fetch the arrow with him. Zhou Yu was skeptical and set out with Zhuge Liang.
At five o'clock, the fleet approached Cao Jun's water village. Kong Ming ordered the ships to line up. The soldiers beat drums and shouted. Hearing the sound of war drums and shouting, Cao Jun, the commander of the navy, thought there would be an ambush, so he asked more than ten thousand archers to line up along the river and shoot arrows into the river. When the arrows on the scarecrow are full. Zhuge Liang immediately ordered the soldiers to turn the boat around and leave quickly. Zhou Yu didn't believe him when he came to the camp. They sent people to count the arrows on the grass, and there were indeed more than 100000 arrows. From then on, Zhou Yu never bothered Zhuge Liang.
Zhuge Liang used his intelligence to gain the trust of Zhou Yu, who was narrow-minded. This is why I admire Zhuge Liang most.
英文名著读后感 篇11
The Ordinary World "witnesses the ordinary faith and life in ordinary life through simple language and genuine feelings. In the restless era, the hazy society is like a cup of dirty water, although clear, it is not calm. The characters in Lu Yao's works are so distinctive in personality. The characters Shao An, Shao Ping, and others in the book are symbols of that era and must be limited by the times, but it is precisely because of this that they are truly close and lifelike.
Sun Shaoping is the protagonist in the book. As a person wandering in the world of knowledge, he possesses the perseverance, strength, and calmness inherited from his father and brothers, but he also has something that his father and brothers do not have, a desire for the external world, and a clear definition of his own life. He never gave up his desire and pursuit for a better life, and this sense of hardship gave him a rich spiritual home, giving him a tenacious fighting spirit and allowing people to deeply experience the 'ordinary life and faith' in an ordinary world.
In "The Ordinary World", Lu Yao uses a kind heart to present us with an ordinary character world, and allows us to feel the extremely brilliant meaning of life in the ups and downs of life. Shuangshui Village is an ordinary world that embodies an ordinary life, thriving from the ordinary. What you can see is the confidence in hardship, the hope that cannot be taken away, the never-ending love, the bitterness in the ordinary, and the pride of this life.
英文名著读后感 篇12
Robinson is an Englishman. He likes adventure and sailing. Once, Robinson went to South America by boat. On the way, he encountered a strong wind. The mast of the ship was broken by the wind, and the ship capsized. All his companions were drowned in the sea. He was the only one who was washed to the island by the big waves. This is an unknown and uninhabited desert island. He is cold and hungry. How can he survive in this place?
When God closes a door, he will open another window for you.
If you want to survive, you have to find a way. In order to survive, he built a raft with the mast of the sunken ship, and transported the clothes, food and tools to the shore; Without a house, he found wood and built it with his hands; When he was short of food, he took a gun to hunt in the forest, to catch fish by the sea, to catch goats and to keep them in captivity; Robinson is a man who has the courage to act and explore. Every day he went hunting with a shotgun, but later he had flocks of goats.
He collected and planted the wheat he had brought. Four years later, he finally got his own wheat. Robinson created wealth with his own hands. But he also found that there were people on the island besides him, just savages. In the face of danger, Robinson used his wisdom, knowledge and courage, took a variety of self-help methods, but also tried to deal with the tall and powerful savages, and finally survived the hard life on the desert island. Robinson has valuable qualities: he is strong, optimistic, does not give up easily, dares to challenge himself and surpasses himself. For example; When he was exiled on a desert island, he was faced with difficulties and misfortune, not pessimistic and disappointed, and lost the courage to live. On the contrary, he is optimistic and positive, encouraging himself to live. He is not afraid of death. He is brave, strong and dare to fight with death. Eighteen years have passed. One day, Robinson found the footprints of a savage near the cave. He was very scared. Later, Robinson saw the traces of life and human bones left by the savage. Twenty six years later, he saved a runaway savage, named him "Friday" and taught her to speak. Soon "Friday" became his good helper. Robinson won the hope of survival with his brave and self challenging way.
Finally one morning, a boat was moored nearby. It turned out that there was a rebellion on the ship, the captain was kidnapped, Robinson and "Friday" rescued the captain, the captain promised to take him to England, he was able to escape from the desert island, back to human society. After he was saved, Robinson said: "in so many days, although I have suffered a lot of danger and difficulties, my gains are incalculable“ This is one of my favorite words. After he was saved, he didn't complain about the dangers he encountered in those 28 years or the injustice of heaven. Instead, he felt that in those 28 years, he learned to make bread, ceramics, hunting, planting and so on, and gained a lot, which is beyond calculation. I also think there is a wonderful descr iption in the book after Robinson was in danger. It was Robinson who listed the blessings and misfortunes he encountered after he was exiled on a desert island. From the space, most of them were blessings. And later, he wrote that God miraculously sent the ship to the coast, which enabled me to take a lot of things from the ship, which made me benefit all my life. From the above, we can see Robinson's optimistic spirit, never complaining about fate. It is this spirit that deeply infected me.
People must have firm faith, courage and wisdom in life. There are many difficulties and setbacks in one's life. We should have a positive and optimistic attitude, face difficulties bravely, and create the future with our own hands in order to achieve the miracle of life. I like a famous saying of Defoe, the author of this book: the fear of danger is 10000 times more terrible than the danger itself. In fact, it is true that a person with the spirit of fearlessness and adventure, even in a bad environment, will eventually become a winner and a hero of his own as long as he keeps faith in his heart, goes forward bravely, is not good at taking risks, and is indomitable.
英文名著读后感 篇13
What a strong person! When he was ill, he could eat any food left at home, but he still chose to go hunting; This spirit of self-reliance and self-improvement is what I lack. When he meets cannibals, he can choose to surrender, but he and his slave - Friday and Monday
They fought bravely and rescued some prisoners; When he met the shippers, he did not immediately propose to return home, but proposed to fight with them to defend his territory.
Look at Robinson, and then look at me. By contrast, how cowardly I am! Give up when you encounter difficulties and think: let mom help me do it! If you encounter a problem, ask your parents, but don't listen to the problem-solving steps. You're just looking forward to it. Tell me the answer quickly. I have fun with my mobile phone!
Will Robinson give up when encountering difficulties? no Of course he won't. Ask your parents if you can't. will Robinson do that? no He won't. After reading this book, I suddenly realized that persistence is also a quality. In the most difficult times, perseverance can help us tide over the difficulties; But at the same time
self-reliance is also a spirit I lack. Without self-reliance, people cannot survive; I can't stand on my own, and I can't get a foothold in society. Thinking of this, I immediately raised my head to face and meet the difficulties that were coming to me!
英文名著读后感 篇14
I read Robinson Crusoe, I think he is a pastry division, he used wheat to make cakes, bread, he can also use wood to make room, I think he is particularly smart, but also brave to save Friday, in order to complete his dream, others also advised him not to go to sea, he did not give up, I think his strong and unyielding spirit is worth learning.

英文名著读后感 篇16
ane Eyre, is a poor but aspiring, small in body but huge in soul, obscure but self-respecting girl. After we close the covers of the book, after having a long journey of the spirit, Jane Eyre, a marvelous figure, has left us so much to recall and to think:
We remember her goodness: for someone who lost arms and blinded in eyes, for someone who despised her for her ordinariness, and even for someone who had hurt her deeply in the past.
We remember her pursuit of justice. It’s like a panion with the goodness. But still, a virtuous person should promote the goodness on one side and must check the badness on the other side.
We remember her self-respect and the clear situation on equality. In her opinion, everyone is the same at the God’s feet. Though there are differences in status、in property and also in appearance, but all the human being are equal in personality.
We also remember her striving for life, her toughness and her confidence…
When we think of this girl, what she gave us was not a pretty face or a transcendent temperament that make us admire deeply, but a huge charm of her ersonality.
Actually, she wasn’t pretty, and of course, the ordinary appearance didn’t make others feel good of her, even her own aunt felt disgusted with it. And some others even thought that she was easy to look down on and to tease, so when Miss Ingram met Jane Eyre, she seemed quite contemptuous, for that she was obviously much more prettier than ‘the plain and ugly governess’. But as the little governess had said: ‘Do you think, because I am poor, obscure, plain, and little, I am soulless and heartless? You think wrong!’ This is the idea of equality in Jane Eyre’s mind. God hadn’t given her beauty and wealth, but instead, God gave her a kind mind and a thinking brain. Her idea of equality and self-respect impress us so much and let us feel the power inside her body.
